How Smart CEOs Analyse Their Meetings
Written by Dave Bailey
A few weeks ago, I ran a CEO Coaching Intensive for my clients at Founder Coach®.
I was blown away by how some CEOs are leveraging AI to improve decision-making.
The secret? Analysing meeting transcripts.
Let me share three innovative ways CEOs are using ChatGPT o1-Preview to gain insights from their meetings.
1) Sales Call Analysis
One CEO shared how they feed transcripts of sales calls into ChatGPT to get feedback.
Another CEO is trying this for their investment pitches to help refine their message and anticipate future concerns.
Questions to ask the AI:
- "Based on this conversation, how likely is this customer to close?"
- "What are three things the salesperson could have done to increase the chance of closing?"
- "What questions should have been asked but weren’t?"
2) Recruiting Interview Analysis
Another CEO gets ChatGPT to review their hiring interviews to get another point of view.
This approach also works for performance reviews to uncover blind spots—both theirs and yours—that aren’t immediately obvious.
Questions to ask the AI:
- "Based on this transcript and the job description, how likely is this candidate to succeed in this role?"
- "Could we adjust the role to better fit this candidate’s strengths?"
- "What questions should we ask in the next interview to explore further?"
3) Team Meeting Analysis
Perhaps the simplest application is analysing leadership team meetings.
This provides fresh insights into team dynamics and decision-making.
You could apply this to board meetings too.
Questions to ask the AI:
- "What are the dominant dynamics in this meeting? Are all voices being heard?"
- "Do you notice any patterns in how decisions are made?"
- "Are there issues or perspectives the team might be overlooking?"
Bottom line:
AI isn't just for automating tasks anymore—it's becoming a strategic partner in business decision-making.
Have you tried any of these applications? Or discovered other innovative ways to use ChatGPT in your company?
